Mandala Workshops.

    The Teacher.

Margriet welcomed students into three-day workshops where they learned to paint a mandala on silk. A mandala is a circular, geometrically harmonious design. Each step was guided with patience and warmth, suited to both beginners and experienced artists alike. Teaching brought her tremendous joy.

    The Workshops.

Each day began with meditation and time to share ideas. Students moved through a slide show, then a guided visualization to find a personal healing image. From there — a simple drawing, duplicated, divided, cut, pasted — and the design was complete. Then came the paint, the silk dyes, and the magic that always seemed to happen along the way.

    Student's Work.

On the third day, finished pieces were steamed to set the color. What Margriet gave her students was more than technique — it was a belief in their own creative spirit. The beautiful work they created lives on in the Student Gallery, a lasting testament to her gift as a teacher.
